This is the third one of a series of interviews that I have been doing with very inspiring people about the importance and need of proactively seeking awe-inspiring moments in our lives. They also shared what inspires them and how to live a fulfilling life (you can find all the interviews here)
This time I interviewed Lewis Howes, a former pro athlete, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, investor and personal lifestyle consultant.
Without further ado, the interview…
Q. Do you think that ‘awe’ can be cultivated the same way as gratefulness or happiness?
Q. How are awe-inspiring moments related to being present in the moment?
A. When we are in the zone or are in flow we create awe. Flow only is created when we are living in the present moment.
Q. Where do you get your inspiration from?
A. Everywhere, but mostly from inspiring works of art, and seeing people create magic from a seeming impossible place.
Q. What’s the easiest way to live a fulfilling life?
A. Follow your bliss and be of service to others.
Q. What do we need to stop doing in order to live a more fulfilling life?
A. Stop doing things we aren’t in love with.
Q. What daily habits/rituals do you recommend to practice appreciation?
A. Meditation, breathing, and doing things that scare you and make you grow.
Q. How can amazement and appreciation impact people and the world?
A. Show others what is possible for them.
Q. What change in the world would make you feel most awe-inspired?
A. Everyone living in a safe home physically and emotionally.
Thank you Lewis for your time and inspiring thoughts.
